How Does Aidpage Work

I don't know how to say this because I've never had to ask for help before, so I'm just going to tell what happened. Just over two years ago, we were living the American dream. We had a modest house, two cars, you know, the average American family. Both my wife and I worked which made it possible to support our family. We were not wealthy by any means, but we had what we needed. In 2004, my wife lost her job due to cutbacks, but again, it wasn't a problem because she is a nurse and she managed to find another job in a few months, so we were back on track. In January of 2005, she fell on some ice at work and severely injured her knee, which put her out of work, but she received worker's compensation. Then in May of 2005, she beacme ill with what the doctors thought was pneumonia, but what was actually congestive heart failure and she almost died. She had to stop the rehabilitation on her knee because the heart couldn't take the stress so she was sort of in limbo. The worker's compensation was put on hold until she could resume rehab which cut our income in half. It didn't take long until we were behind with our bills. We tried working with creditors, but I guess they got tired of hearing our problems, We have lost our home, our cars and beacuse the cars that were sold at auction for less that what we owed, the banks want the difference. With what we owe the banks along with our other debts such as medical bills that our medical insurance doesn't cover, we are about $25,000 to $30,000 in debt. We can't even file bankruptcy because my wife's father passed away in July of 2006 and instead of her receiving an inheritance, the estate is heavy in debt, but sine there is an estate, we can't file bankruptcy until it closes in probate court. I try to work as much overtime as I can, which is hard because I have a heart condition, just to try to get ahead, but my wages have been garnihed three times by different creditors, which lessens our net income to the point where we sometimes have to decide whether we want to take our necessary medications or we want to eat. We have been passed around from relative to relative to keep a roof over our heads until we can get ahead enough to rent a place to live. My wife has since partually recovered from her heart condition to have surgery on her knee, but it was damaged so bad that the doctors say she will never work as a nurse again and of course, worker's compensation is giving her the run around so she receives no benefits from them. Like I said at the beginning of this message, I have never asked for help before so this is very hard for me, but if anyone out there can help us, we would be extremely grateful. Thanks for reading.
